Concord Grassroots Actions for Peace
Recommended!

This group, Concord Grassroots Actions for Peace maintains a superb Campaign to Stop the Manufacture and Use of Depleted Uranium Weapons. They've been on the case for many years in fact. They are action-oriented and provide information to help you directly voice your opinion to legislators regarding anti-DU bills (Yes, there are some!) and other matters. Please check out their Actions section.

Their list of recent DU news is currently being updated regularly (Summer 06). View it here: DU News Articles

NTI - Nuclear Threat Initiative
Nuclear Threat Initiative
A good research site!
NTI has large databases relevent to non-proliferation and nuclear hazards. You can
search the DB for documents related to depleted uranium or search the whole site.

About NTI - Working for a Safer World
Concerned that the threat from nuclear weapons had fallen off most people's radar screens after the end of the Cold War, CNN founder Ted Turner asked former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn in the spring of 2000 to help assess whether a private organization could make a difference. After months of discussions and consultations with some of the world's most respected security experts, Mr. Turner and Senator Nunn founded the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) in January 2001. Initially supported by a pledge from Mr. Turner and other private contributions, NTI is now classified as a 501 (c) 3 public charity.

Arms Control Wonk

A good source of obscure military information and theories.

All the stuff about WMD, intel and the national security bureaucracy by Dr Jeffrey Lewis and friends too wonky or obscene for publication.

Bomb Project

Looking for nuclear themed images or video? Try here.

" The Bomb Project is a comprehensive on-line compendium of nuclear-related links, imagery and documentation. It is intended specifically as a resource for artists, and encourages those working in all media, from net.art, film and video, eco-intervention and site-specific installation to more traditional forms of agitprop, to use this site to search for raw material. The Bomb Project has gathered together links to nuclear image archives (still and moving), historical documents, current news, NGOs and activist organizations as well as government labs and arms treaties. It makes accessible the declassified files and graphic documentation produced by the nuclear industry itself, providing a context for comparative study, analysis and creativity. "
